How has the autumn started - has the market picked up from the last boring and slow months?

Olof: Yes, the Nordic market for equity trading increased with about 14 percent in September which was really nice to see after the last decreasing months.

So how did Burgundy develop in this market?

Olof: Even during the decreasing last month’s Burgundy’s market share has increased in the Nordic countries, which it also did in September. We reached 3.7 percent in Swedish equities and 2.2 percent in Nordic equities. Burgundy had its second best month with regards to average turnover per day, which was EUR 116.7 million. Burgundy also reached a new record of average trades per day in September, which was 13,636.

Talking about the Nordic countries, how is trading at Burgundy developing in the other countries (except for Sweden)?

Olof: The country of the month was Finland where the trading has increase during the last months, not fast but steady and we reached a market share over 1.0 percent in September for the first time. There were also several records in the Finnish equity trading with all-time high in average turnover per day, trading in one single day and some other. This is not all though, things are also starting to happen in Norway, but let me come back to that next month…

So what do you think about going forward?

Olof: Well, going in to the report period, we are of course hoping for even more recovering volumes, which we also have seen now in the beginning of October.
