Trade records in January

I heard that there has been some trade records at Burgundy during January, is that correct?

Olof: Yes, January has shown that we have reached a new level of daily trades. There have been several days when the number of trades have been twice as high as the record from 2009.  The new daily record for number of trades in Swedish shares is 15 776.

Has the turnover volume also increased?

Olof: The turnover volume has been better in January so far, compared to the last two months, which is positive. But the higher volume in number of trades is a new development.

What does this mean for Burgundy?

Olof: It is positive, it shows that as our participants are getting their technology in place, Burgundy is an increasingly important venue to execute trades on.
