Participation
Regulated credit institutions and investment firms within EEA, and other legal entities within EEA trading on its own behalf, may be eligible to participate in trading in the Burgundy trading platform as a Trading Participant. In addition, a potential Trading Participant must also fulfill other criteria to become a Trading Participant, such as capital requirement, adequate organization and clearing and settlement capabilities in the respective Nordic market. The following are the main necessary mile stones:
- Testing Agreement signed to get access to Burgundy’s test systems
- Network connectivity installed
- Access the test environment to test the solution
- Trading software certified
- Clearing & settlement arrangements in place
- Trading Participant Application approved
- Test of total solution
- Trading Participant Agreement signed
- Market Data Agreement signed – optional
- Plan for trading start and send out Burgundy Market News
The mile stones that often take more time is to install network connectivity, get trading software ready for certification and arrange clearing & settlement – all of course depending on the situation. These matters are outside Burgundy’s control and something you manage with your internal or external suppliers. For a swift Trading Participant application process it is important to identify the things that may take more time and should be started early to avoid unnecessary delay of the process. At Burgundy we will do what we can to support you in the pace you want to have in your application process!
